Senior Landscape Architect/Designer (Hotels & Hospitality):
VITA is seeking self-motivated individuals looking for an opportunity to integrate into our VITA design team.
Candidates must be strong, creative, and a well-rounded Senior Landscape Architect Project Manager with experienced design and management skills focusing on the creation and execution of hotel and resort landscape architecture. The position involves the design for international luxury hotels, resorts, spas and hospitality project throughout the world such as Aman, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Rosewood and Six Senses. Responsibilities include developing design ideas and guiding others through all phases of the design process, ranging from Master Planning and Concept Design to Construction Documentation and site implementation.

Responsibilities will include:
- Design and management of hotel, resort, spas and hospitality projects from concept/master plan through contract administration
- Responding to the direction of a Principal
- Proven experience of project management, design and construction document production management, client meetings and group presentation
- Mentoring and developing the skills of landscape architecture staff
- Contributing to with marketing/business development efforts and recruitment
- Leadership role in the management of the studio and its people
- Graphic presentation design for large scale print material & digital conferencing
- General office duties
- Ability to travel is a plus (subject to Covid conditions)
Candidates should possess the following skills:
- Strong sense of project management, including client and consultant coordination
- 12+ years of professional experience focused on design management and technical experience with complex hotel and resort projects and hospitality with multi-discipline teams
- Demonstrated technical skills in the preparation of working drawings in plan, section, elevation, and construction details
- Working knowledge of plants and planting design – Mediterranean through Tropical, and a desire to expand your flora knowledge base
- Irrigation design and documentation
- Hand rendering ability will be highly valued
- A team player who collaborates as part of a diverse studio team from design through execution
- Excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication skills
- Possesses strong problem solving, critical thinking, and analysis skills
- Displays leadership qualities, drive, and self-initiative
- High proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite and knowledge of Rhino, SketchUp, and other 3D computer applications
- Professional degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture or Planning
- Licensed Landscape Architect or Architect preferred
